I know it's really naughty, and ever so slightly sad... but I have a pondering question.
Who do you think has been Colin's best girlfriend to date?
For me, I think it has to be the lovely Muireann Mcdonnell. I really got the feeling he was into her, and I actually think she was kinda good for him in a beautiful sweet and normal way. Which is sadly why it probably didn't work... seems you just can't be a normal girl and date a Hollywood movie star. I also thought Amelia Warner was a great girl, but both perhaps just a tad too young at the time for it to really last.
Anybody else got any thoughts on this?
That's a tough one. He seemed very happy for awhile with MM. They were always holding hands, etc. in pictures. She was his first public relationship post rehab, so that might have had something to do with it not lasting. Pure speculation on my part, but it must be very hard to have a serious relationship when you've gone through such a major life adjustment like that. I would think it's hard enough to just figure out who you are without having to take into consideration someone elses needs. She might have been a little young for him also. 10 years between 20 and 30 is a big difference. If they were both older, not so much. Jury still out with Alicja. It's just too new for me to have much of an opinion on her, good or bad.
ReplyDeleteYes I agree with you where Alicja is concerned... but I can't help thinking he's moved rather fast between breaking up with EF and moving onto ABC. Guess we'll have to wait and see... again!
ReplyDeleteAlthough, I still feel for MM, I feel she got used a little bit, or perhaps used isn't the right word... taken advantage of slightly? I hope she's managed to get her life back on track, it must be very hard to return to your old life again once you've been involved with somebody of Colin's status. He can pass it off far more easily in public, and of course engross himself in his next project, but for MM she's always going to have that connection to CF... and that's perhaps not easy for any future man to compete with.
The only part we seem to differ on is the EF part. I don't believe there was a real dating relationship with EF, so it doesn't seem like it was fast between EF and Alicja.

ReplyDeletePersonally, I think alicja is a famewhore who is using Colin. She has admitted that her primary personal worst trait is ambition and that she wants to make it as a celebrity in Hollywood. Whereas Colin is shunning the limelight right now. Plus there is a story running around that she tried to get Colin drunk and she vomited in her hotel room at 2am and shouted down to the people at the desk to come and clean up her mess, and made them come back and re-do it the next morning as it still smelled.
ReplyDeleteWell if she is a fame junkie diva, let's hope Colin comes to his sense's sooner rather than later! I'm not so sure he's shunning the limelight, if anything he's seems to be positively courting it with Alicja... maybe he's trying to impress her, or win her affection by promoting her. Love can make you do the silliest of things can it not?
ReplyDeleteIt is pretty harsh to say that alicja is a famewhore. Yes, she is an ambitious actress and probably she would like to achieve a celebrity status, but as I have been following her career for over 7 years now, I could not notice that she comes across as rather normal, well-mannered girl. I really do not think there is anything ruthless about her.
