IS COLIN A 'MOVIE STAR', OR A 'MOVIE ACTOR'?

Is there a difference between a ‘movie star’, and a ‘movie actor’, and if so... can you be one and not the other, or can you be both?

  1. You can be both, but in SWAT, Alexander, MV times - he was definitely just a celebrity- more movie star but since rehab he seems to make better choices in the movies I mean something what demands acting hard and good acting like in P&G In Bruges, and all that news stuff seems really good in a ambitious way so slowly he is becoming movie actor. In my opinion he's talended enough to be very good actor even oscar winning actor but he needs to show his talent because in like 2 years before rehab he was in really bad place both in life and work, that he went easy what was smart but now when he looks to be in a good place in his life he can start real career.

  2. I think he's both. Anyone is a film is a movie actor. Movie star to me at least, is the recognition his name brings. I would guess, most people under 50 recognize the name and can tell you a few of his movies. To me that puts him in the movie star category.

  3. Actor, definately. There is an art to his craft.
